Teaching skills

The challenges

The local unemployment factor and lack of raining/post matric opportunities for both men and women. The need for professional additional supervised After School Care at the foundation phase level, especially in literacy, and numeracy.

Addressing the challenges

By creating job opportunities at many levels, some temporary other contract-based. Bursary and accommodation support for post-matric students Support and sponsorship for short life skilled courses Annual bursaries for 10 to 12 post-matric student at the South African College of Tourism in Graaff-Reinet By creating a small project fund to assist community projects. Blanket/Food/Transport The implementation of an After School Care Centre offering additional literacy and numeracy support for young learners Grade 1 to 3

Proved the dire need for interventions from private enterprise in small rural towns Assisted the plight of the unemployed and the youth through the small project fund Contributed to the up-skilling and further education of the youth
